This book includes 25 peer-reviewed short papers submitted to the Scientific Opening Conference titled “Statistics and Information Systems for Policy Evaluation”, aimed at promoting new statistical methods and applications for the evaluation of policies and organized by the Association for Applied Statistics (ASA) and the Department of Statistics, Computer Science, Applications DiSIA “G. Luigi Fabbris is a freelance researcher in the field of statistics and social science; President of the ASA, (Italian) Association for Applied Statistics; formerly Professor of Social Statistics at the University of Padua; he has authored or co-authored more than 400 papers or books.
Alessandra Petrucci is Professor of Social Statistics and she holds a PhD in Applied Statistics. Her research interests include survey sampling methods, spatial statistics, multivariate statistical analysis applied to social and environmental issues. She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers published in national and international journals, and she has been a member of research projects and scientific committees for several national and international conferences.
