Alberto Mario Simonetta, Professor of Comparative Anatomy and Zoology, first in Camerino and later in Florence, he currently lectures on Biological Evolution. He has carried out numerous field studies in various parts of Africa, Afghanistan and India. His research interests are in the sphere of the evolution and faunistics of arthropods and vertebrates, and the related theoretical and historical issues.

Brunetto Chiarelli, lecturer in Anthropology and Ethnology, since 2006 has held the Naturalistic Museology course in the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Florence. Director of the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnology of the University of Turin between 1963 and 1979, in 1970 he supervised the reorganisation of the Musée de l'Homme in Paris, and since 1990 has collaborated with the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History of Washington D.C.
