This book consists of 100 plates divided into three groups: Basics, Mechanics, stress and Machine Construction. Each plate illustrates a specific application, mostly in graphic form and is accompanied by a facing page with the title of the application, any necessary explanations and a number of problems to be resolved. Less scholastic than standard exercise textbooks, and featuring an approach not linked to a specific chapter of the discipline, this book is aimed at helping students to understand and solve the mechanical problems of machinery, utilising the basic knowledge taught in the preliminary and parallel courses, along with the more specific information related to the machine construction course. For each application ulterior developments beyond those requested can be identified, especially as regards the construction solutions.
