This paper presents the experience of the ADA Association (Associazione per i Diritti degli Anziani) in Prato, in the field of support and social reintegration of vulnerable and marginalised older adults. Through an approach grounded in social networks, inclusion, and solidarity, the Association promotes interventions that go beyond material assistance, placing at the core dignity, active participation, and the restoration of personal identity. The paper describes a significant case of social reintegration, made possible through collaboration with local institutions and organisations, which illustrates the effectiveness of ‘recovery’ models when applied to elderly populations. Finally, the paper proposes a project-based vision for residential facilities aimed at the socio-occupational reintegration of marginalised older individuals.
