“Generazione Senior”: un modello di rete territoriale per promuovere l’invecchiamento attivo a Monza

  • Alessandra Crippa
  • Sonia Pollet

“Generazione Senior”, launched in 2022 by the Social Cooperative La Meridiana in Monza, aims to address the challenge of longevity in light of ongoing demographic transformations. The project seeks to guide and enhance the potential of individuals over the age of 65 through a collective response, implemented via a catalogue of activities and services co-designed with local stakeholders. This diverse offering includes volunteering opportunities, physical exercise, cognitive training, cookery workshops, book presentations, literary contests, lectures, concerts, film screenings, and more – all with the goal of counteracting the loss of self-efficacy and encouraging healthy lifestyle habits as people grow older. By fostering both personal wellbeing and a meaningful contribution to the local community, the project promotes the creation of learning environments in which the needs and resources of older adults become drivers of community development.
