In Thirteen Tricks to Make Architecture Better, the archistar Alberto Campo Baeza reveals the tricks, or pedagogical mechanisms, that he has used many times in his work and that he has tried to pass on to his students during his more than forty years of teaching design at ETSAM in Madrid and at many other schools of architecture around the world.
The book is aimed at students, teachers, and anyone who cares about the wonderful and exhilarating “work” that is architectural design.

Alberto Campo Baeza is a renowned architect and Professor Emeritus of Design at the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM), where he taught for more than thirty-five years.

Matteo Zambelli is an architect, PhD in Building Engineering, and Associate Professor at DIDA (Department of Architecture, University of Florence). His research focuses on design methods and the pedagogy of architecture and design. He teaches the “Laboratory of Architectural Technology” and “Soft Skills for Design.” He has published on Design Thinking, monographs on contemporary architects, and studies on emerging trends in architecture, and has edited and translated several books from English, some of which have been published by FUP.
