Storia di Florence (History of Florence) is an initiative conceived in 2004 within the University of Florence by a group of scholars belonging to departments of the humanities and social sciences in a multidisciplinary research perspective. The portal is aimed at serving as a tool for a professional study on Florentine history carried out in Italy or throughout the world. It should also serve as a reference portal for cultural institutions, as a meeting place between the academic world and the heads of local, political and administrative institutions. Storia di Firenze offers scientific publications for scholars, teaching materials for teachers and school students, information tools for publishing and journalism ad well as information material for the general public. The main sections are: Agenda, Bibliography, Annals, Dossiers, Historians, Chronologies, Festivals and Library.
