Drawing on the rich repository of texts handed down from the medieval millennium and based on the solid traditions of study and research developed at the University of Siena, the “ConTesti medievali. Studi, ricerche e fonti” series aims to promote the dissemination of research focused on the Middle Ages, considering it in all its dimensions: society, culture, religion, economy, politics and institutions. The series adopts a decidedly multidisciplinary approach, conceived as a space for dialogue among different fields of research, and seeks to enhance the value of written sources, where possible, also in relation to the figurative, audio and material dimensions of medieval culture.

The series fully supports Open Access publishing as an ideal tool for sharing ideas and knowledge in every research field with an open, collaborative and non-profit approach. Open Access books allow the research community to achieve a high research impact as well as rapid dissemination in any editorial form.

“ConTesti medievali. Studi, ricerche e fonti” is published by Firenze University Press and USiena PRESS, an innovative publishing project of the University of Florence and the University of Siena designed for the community of scholars and their research.
