Plutarch as Apollo’s priest at Delphi

Written in English because presented at a conference in Groningen, the paper considers the two passages in which Plutarch explicitly refers to his activity as Apollo’s priest at Delphi, in conjunction with two Delphic inscriptions, in order to shed new light on other Plutarchean passages: in the first place, to tackle the problem posed by the text in the beginning of his treatise The E at Delphi (cap. 1, 385A).
