This study addresses the issues of the previous edition of Philippe de Thaon's lapidaries and provides new data for a future edition. The codicological analysis and some recent studies rectify the previous distribution and organization of the text, confirming the correct sequence of the works and their joint circulation, according to the manuscript tradition. The metric-rhythmic study focuses on the concept of the couplet as a metrical unit and on the hemistichal structure of the octosyllables. The analysed cases of hypometria reveal a deliberate emphasis on a specific term within the hemistich and are consistent with the author's style, as demonstrated by the extensive evidence.
