L’insegnamento universitario del diritto del lavoro

  • Laurent Gamet

How is employment law taught at university? While, as the years go by, the teaching of employment law focuses on the technical aspect of the subject, imbued with practical considerations, employment law must be taught in its context during the early stages: it forms part of a wider whole, that of ‘social issues’, and interacts with political science, economics and history, in particular. In any case, the professor is not there to pass on ready-made solutions, but to awaken the students' minds, methodically. This is the most valuable viatic he can offer them before they embark on their professional lives, whether or not they are dedicated to employment law.
