Established in 2015 by resolution of the Academic Senate and Board of Directors, Perugia Stranieri University Press is the official publishing arm of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia (University for Foreigners of Perugia), created to highlight and disseminates the University’s academic output via open access, and to promote projects aligned with its research areas.
As a dynamic and interdisciplinary publishing space, it acts as a bridge for the international circulation of knowledge, fostering dialogue between cultures, languages and disciplines.
The editorial line is based on three pillars:
• Promoting scientific research: monographs, essays, conference proceedings, and research papers, with a particular focus on the humanities and social sciences.
• Interdisciplinarity and internationalisation: contributions that span numerous disciplinary fields, with a strong emphasis on comparative and transnational perspectives.
• Open Access: all publications are available online as open access, in line with the guidelines of open access and knowledge sharing.
Perugia Stranieri University Press adopts a strict publishing model with peer review independently determined by each series, Creative Commons licences which promote the free circulation of knowledge and OA guidelines, aligned with Italian and European standards, making research accessible, transparent, with a greater social impact.
