The Marucelli's "Mare Magnum" is one of the most interesting and least studied bibliographic repertory in the world. Thanks to an agreement between the SAGAS Department of the University of Florence and the Biblioteca Marucelliana, which holds the eighteenth-century manuscript composed by 111 volumes, a series of researches by students of Bibliography and the History of the book has brought to light the authors and printers cited by Marucelli. These data, checked against Italian and international authority files, formed the basis of a massive data insertion in Wikidata, linking the Mare Magnum to its bibliographical content. The work is a part of the projects started by Gruppo Wikidata per Musei, Archivi e Biblioteche to improve Wikidata with valuable and authoritative data.
