Sistemi ecografici di ricerca ad ultrasuoni per diagnostica medica

  • Piero Tortoli

The Microelectronic Systems Design Laboratory (MSDLab) at the University of Florence has developed innovative ultrasound systems for medical diagnostics since the 1980s. Its research advanced Doppler techniques for analyzing blood flow and introduced the ULA-OP, the first portable open ultrasound scanner designed in academia. Widely adopted by research labs worldwide, it enables flexible imaging, high-speed data acquisition, and new experimental ultrasound methods.
