Important political debates are taking place in Spain; some of which are being reflected in the adoption of regulations on how to improve the care system for people in need of care. This affects both the social services system; such as care services for people in a situation of dependency; as well as the people who work in these services. In this sense; the purpose of this study is to analyse the policy plans that have been adopted to improve social care services; as well as which aspects of these plans refer directly to care workers. It also analyses the regulations that are being adopted in order to draw up proposals that are of interest to the European Union.
