The ERC project ARCHIATER (2024–2029) uses Wikidata as a sustainable Virtual Research Environment to study the visual and architectural culture of premodern European hospitals. Through the WikiProject Spital, it develops shared standards for modeling, querying, and visualizing data. Building on the WikiFAIR initiative, the project advances FAIR principles and demonstrates how Wikidata fosters long-term accessibility and interdisciplinary collaboration.
