The chapter “Machines and Energy and Environmental Systems in Florence (and Beyond): The Scientific Legacy of Sergio Stecco” retraces Sergio Stecco’s scientific and human contribution to the development of energy machines and systems. Through research, teaching, and industrial collaborations, his work established in Florence a center of excellence in turbomachinery and energy engineering, leaving a lasting legacy at both national and international levels.
