Il sistema ‘Point-At’ a Palazzo Medici Riccardi

  • Alberto Del Bimbo

Researchers at the MICC center of the University of Florence developed “Point-At,” an innovative computer-vision system installed in 2004 at Palazzo Medici Riccardi to enhance access to cultural heritage. Using gesture recognition, visitors could point at details of Benozzo Gozzoli’s fresco in the Chapel of the Magi and receive visual and audio explanations, enabling an intuitive and educational museum experience.
