The contents of the co-evolution between ecosystems and territories are changing with climate changes, capable of de-structuring with damages and losses the ecological functions of sites and their landscape identities. Possible opportunities offered by the regeneration of ecosystems are discussed, also in view of the new European regulations on “restoration” and of an advancement of the eco-territorial approach.
