Supporting longevity necessitates a holistic vision of care, extending from conception to old age – a need made particularly evident by the Covid-19 pandemic – which highlighted the interconnection between humans and their environment. This awareness shifts the focus towards individual potential, which must be supported by appropriate environments and professionals trained with an integrative perspective that connects early childhood and senescence. Montessori pedagogy, with its emphasis on the active support of competences, emerges as a model for reinterpreting both childhood and ageing through a renewed lens. This study aims to promote such pedagogy as a key contribution to an education oriented towards longevity, with the objective of preventing and counteracting the phenomena of infantilisation and ageism, starting from professional training placements. Within this context, the student develops the professional habitus that will accompany them in supporting the development and/or well-being of others.
