How We Collect and Process Statistic Data

Firenze University Press provides on a monthly basis online usage statistics for books and book chapters compliant with the COUNTER5 rules to process statistic data. Under this rules, there are two main metrics: VIEW and DOWNLOAD.

Under VIEW, we consider book and chapter views and searches, within the download of index and supplementary files.

Under DOWNLOAD, we consider only Fulltext download, related to PDF or XML formats.

All the data and numbers presented, were collected from January 1st 2017; webserver log files were processed following COUNTER5 Book Report rules (excluding bots and spiders, double clicks, etc.).

Usage data and reports are processed and updated on a monthly basis.
