Plutarco y la helenización de la historia romana: la Vida de Rómulo

Written in Spanish for a Chilean conference, the paper offers an analysis of, and a commentary on some passages from the Life of Romulus, in order to show that Plutarch too – as Dionysius of Halicarnassus, but in a less striking and ‘naïve’ way – is a hellenocentric writer, who aims to emphasize, about Romulus and early Rome, the elements revealing their Greek origin, as part of a real cultural and spiritual unity, connecting the two peoples from the very beginning.
