Quadri concettuali del cambiamento istituzionale

  • Nicolò Bellanca

This chapter moves from individual causal mechanisms to broader conceptual frameworks of institutional change. It classifies mechanisms into four types and examines how they combine within larger explanatory structures. The analysis focuses on trade-offs among ideological, political, economic, and coercive power; the tension between communal security and societal freedom; and the coevolution of institutions through psycho-social variables and cross-domain interactions. It concludes by showing how such frameworks can support empirically oriented middle-range theories.
